In an enviable South Yarra location, the challenge of a complete interior redesign of this out-dated apartment was met by the talented interior design specialist Janine Carter of Canny Architecture.
The cream hues carried throughout, very reminiscent of the 80’s, were the first to go in this Melbourne apartment renovation. The herringbone cherry wood parquetry floor was retained and with a clever liming, given a fresh face and complete new feel. Dark, space-consuming features were striped back and three small bedrooms became two to cater for a truly luxurious grand master en suite and timber walk-in robe. Newfound crisp lines are nothing but complimented by the brand new Victoria + Albert bathtub and basins.
Situated in the middle of the living space, a Real Flame custom fireplace sitting within the ever so slightly shimmered finish of a John Bishop polished plaster chimney-breast, does well in providing both the definite ‘wow’ factor, plus stylishly aids in the separation of spaces.
Ecstatic with the result, this Melbourne apartment renovation is now proudly well suited to the suburb it’s situated. View more images of the Melbourne apartment renovation.
